Default 800 V twin + fuel injected 2 stroke sport

For what It's worth, I was at my Bombardier dealer yesterday and mentioned that I was interested in getting a big bore utility machine and was waiting to see what Bombardier was comming out with in 06.
I was told that there was going to be a 800 V twin utility and the dealers were going to get to ride the new machines soon. I was also told that there was going to be a fuel injected 2 stroke sport machine,as with fuel injection they could meet emission standards. This is quite a large dealer with two stores, they sell Bombardier, Suzuki and polaris atvs. I hope this is not just another rumor as I have been waiting and researching big bore machines which all seem to have some problems such as SuzukiKing Quad-reverse problem, Polaris 800 -not agile, Brute force 750-handling problem, Blizzard 650-boiling gas and tippy, Prarie 700-limp home mode. Maybee I have been reading too manny forums!

Well, I think you might be on to something, because I have read on another site about the same news coming from a guy that lives near the BRP site....just what I have read...suppose to be an 800 twin called the Mountaineer utility bike @ 65hp, suppose to be out by June 6th....

I think you hit the nail on the head when you first spoke, "for what its worth". I'm not going to go crazy because a dealer reinforced the extremely old 800 ute rumour. The 2 stroke thing who knows, I'd bet against it but I dont work for BRP and dont have the connections to know. I guess we'll see what happens, but I'm not holding my breath on a new 2 stroke atv.

Btw the 04 and 05 Prairie or Twin Peaks 700 and BF650's dont have the limp mode problems, its the 02 and 03 Prairie 650's and the AC 650's. And all IRS quads are going to be tippy in comparison to an SRA machine like the Prairie, its one of the mechanical tradeoffs you make for more ground clearance and a smoother ride. While some are worse than others, (the BF 750), they will all take some getting used to and really need wider tires and wheels.

thanks maddog56, I didn't realize that the prarie700 didn't have limp home problem. I think it would be a good machine seems better than the BF750. Have an outlander 400, it rides and handles great but wish it had a little more zip. My wife says I need to grow up, I am 68 yrs old.
