Default Outlander Problem...

Ok last weekend me and the family went for a ride like we usually do...and when we got back I noticed wet spots all over the right front fender's underside...I thought it was just like water or mud or something so I ignored it, a couple days later I went the our local pit-type thing and rode around and took it through some pretty tough stuff because there's like a little mini pit with tires and wood planks and all kinds of wierd stuff...so I went through that a few times and I was just about to go home and I heard and felt a little knocking type thing...so I looked all over and saw there was more wetness on the right front underside on the fender again...and I swiped some off with my finger and noticed it was oil...the only thing I can think of is the brake line snapped or somehing but I really don't think that it would knock...I'm going riding in the Flagstaff mountains today and I wanna bring that so any ideas guys? Oh and one more thing...I also looked in the truck bed and there was oil allll over it...so it was leaking before I rode it to the pit...and badly..

Any help would be great, thanks!

:: Update :: Ok I checked everything. It was the foot brake and the oil was infact the brake fluid...the problem is that when we bought the quad new in 04' that same brake was tightened to much even at the dealer...so we went to get it fixed about a month ago and the dealer said it was fine then...but he was wrong...something went wrong - im still looking how it happened - and yea so that was the problem. Also...now I have to find where it all happened cause now the brake light will be on until I fix it...but is that still the reason why it makes the knocking sound?

not sure what you say is making noise. the valves are solid lifters and will make some noise, just like the motor on a car engine. to help locate a noise while at a still position, run the throttle up to about 1500 rpm, take a long screw driver and put the metal end to where to think the noise is coming from and put your ear to the plastic end of the screw driver, move the screw driver as require to locate a noise. sometimes a piece of rubber tubing can also help.
