Trust me on this Entomber, they know about all of these threads and doonski is correct on the devlopmental time frame on new quads.

Well,it looks like we will have to wait another year for the 450. Just read The Phantom Rider's prediction, after all he did nail the Raptor 700 EFI.

 

As to the rumors that it could be a twin 2 stroke, the only way that I see this happening is if Bomb decided to go this route: They build a 450 4 stroke and 2 stroke, use a similar chassis that would accomodate like components such as arms, stem, swinger etc. The 4 stroke would allow them to compete in the Pro-Production class under AMA rules and the 450 twin 2 stroke would be able to do 2 things, soak up the dispondent Banshee owners when it is gone, as well as other 2-stroke fans, and give them somthing for the open class segment that can "replace" the DS 650 until they re-design that.

Understand that Banshee sales account for 5% of the current new ATV market, which is small, but somthing that Bomb can jump on, and they do have some past R&D on a twin going back a couple of years ago....

When I first read about the DS650 I read that one of the engineers did develop the Banshee. Said that at that time the Shee was radical. He wanted that Radical back in the atv industry again with the DS.
