Default Hole Next to Spark Plug

I was cleaning my 2000 ds650 when I came across a hole right next to the spark plug! It looks like i might have nicked it when changing the plug the last time! It is right next to the spark plug that is on the outside part of the motor. It cranks and runs and does not spit any oil out. It looks kind of deep though. If any one has any input about this it would be greatly appreciated! I have only owned this beast for a month and want to ride it BAD!
Thanks for the help!
Ryan

This is right on the head where you put the spark plug in!

What direction does the hole travel? towards the piston? towards the cam chain? towards the seat?

Are you sure you are not talking about the drain hole that prevents the spark plug holes from filling up with water?

It might have been a pen hole but now it looks like you could put a screw driver threw it. What is it? A breather hole?

It goes straight in not down or up but directly toward the center of the motor!

its a drain hole silly, for the center spark plug pocket to drain out, we all have it. spray something into the center plug pocket, and you'll see it run out the hole you describe. yes, its big enough for a small phillips to fit thru. now what in the world made you think that you possibly could have caused such a hole to appear?
