I call Bull Sh*T on this thread!!! I'm a large BRP Dealer and spoke to a BRP V/P Last week and rode the new 800 EFI Outlander. There is no need for any more power than is already has! Look for next new unit (sport quad) in Dec. of this year.

Also in that article it says " Our spies have learned the machine will be closer to 800cc and the engine is likely to be a Vtwin." From the article my take on this is that they are referring to the outlander 800,because both dirtwheels and atvaction had just stated it as rumors they hadnt actually saw it or rode it, but I would bet in the next issue there will be more such as a review and possibly a ride review.

I do rember reading something about the the 800 being what was refered to as a casset design where the heads could be swaped and then its back to the 1000cc twin that is in the sleds. If that is true it would seem to be no big deal as the power wars progress to eventualy end up with the 1000cc sled motor that I thought the 800 was based on. Any of you BRP dealers or experts please correct me if that is wrong, I just read it on the net about 6 months ago so how much of that is true I do not know.
