How would you tighten a chain on a 2000 DS650[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img]

 

If its the same as on the 2003 You need to loosen the 2 bolt sticking out of the back of the axle housing, Then take a screw driver and stick it through the sprocket holder and into the axle housing. There is a hole in there you just have to roll the bike back and forth till your screwdriver locks the rear axle in place With the bolts loose and the axle locked in place push the bike either a little bit backwards or a little forwards i dont remember which way is to tighten it. This is only if it is the same as the 03. If it has the 2 bolts out the back your in luck. I will take a look at my cd manuel later to see if they are the same.
