Its kinda funny My honda aqua traxxes sat for 7 months no battery tender nothing . Went out there and they fired rite up. The batteries in them look almost the same as the ones in the bombs. Some batteries are good some are not.

You think that your local shop service is bad, wait until you call BRP. Their customer service "Sucks". I had a awful time with my local dealership with my new '05, and thought that calling BRP would help. Please, basically they said " is your bike paid for, well then have a nice day". I hope it works out for you, but don't even waste your time contacting BRP.

If you guys want to see how long a battery will last, bring it out here in the desert. My $175 Optima battery in my truck didn't even last 2 years. Tires, too.

Sorry to invade your thread pitviper.
Can't comment on 5X, don't know where he's from, but by the look of his pic it's still snowing. Sold my snowthrower 5 years ago, it must suck to shovel snow.

Wow,

a stock CDI went bad - I have never heard of that happening. Procomm, RWR CDIs, now those I've seen fail (some more than others) but never a stocker.

The DS is such a solid machine I doubt you'll have any major problems with it - though I already have doubts about your dealer and I am in Los Angeles....

My local dealers aren't bad, but I like to rely on myself and help from the guys on the forums. Between my dumb *** and the good help you get on here you are likely to get a good solid fix quickly. Especially since someone on the forums has already had your problem. Though no one has had a stock CDI fail that I know of - so perhaps you just have a jinx! hahah j/k
