Got my new DS,and I love it.I have only got to ride it down the street, and I can tell this thing moves>>>>>>>>>>>.I also have a mint condition 86 250r three wheeler, and a 99 400EX and I can tell just from riding down my street a couple of times,it will beat both of them.WHewwwwwww.Dont ge wrong,I love my Honda's but I have done some checking, and was going to buy a Raptor,But the more I looked the better the DS650 looked.I have seen the raptors in action, and they look nice and are pretty fast, but the DS is just as fast if not faster and Is,in my opinion built better. Allot better. The Machine feel solid.I will get to start breaking it in this week end and I can't wait. Just my two cents.

I hope you have good luck with your DS, I was goin to buy one but the Raptor was a better deal (In my opinion). If the 380 twin comes out I will be in line for it deffinately.

clif,
you said that you have the 2001 model, I was wondering what kind of tires it came with?

It has Kenda dominator tires.I was just breaking it in today and it was running great.I think my chain might be hitting my chain guid because right before I was putting it into my truck, when I was giving it gas,I could here a clicking sound. It only does it when I push the throtle.Has any one else had this happen?

It is a very well built quad. The reason it is so heavy is because they didnt use the "half ***" and make everything of aluminum, they actully made it out of steel, and that will hold up to alot more then just aluminum. Every nut/bolt on the ds is a Grade 8 also..they did there homework on this quad. I own one and love it, had it for a year and not so much as a few small problems. I hope yours treats you good. Good riding

If you go to http://www.bombardier-atv.com/models.../ds650_fst.htm and click on the "Accessorize It" link, the 2001 DS650 has new tires. Are you sure you have a 2001???

Yes I am sure its a 2001.The frame sead 7-2000)and my paper work all says 2001 model. My 86 250r was made in 6-85.Maybe they are changing the 2002 model tires. Why are they changing tires any way?I like the one's on it.

This morning,I found out what happened. My upper chain roller disinterrated.I was wondering why their was melted black stuff all over my swing arm. That explains the rattling when I was giving gas.Well I guess I will have to wait to ride untill they get a new one on.
