222 wins AMA Open Pro 1/2 mi...
We decided to put my Genisis motor to the final test before tear down so we entered some classes at the AMA 1/2 mile oval track event at Carson Park Paducah. After Bo (222's brother) stayed up all night putting the engine on and setting up the bike we dynoed it and headed for the races.
Before the night was over we had won both heats and both mains in Open Pro and Open ProAm taking on a PILE of 450's and banshees. The most exciting part was when Randall's hand grip came off (oops forgot the grip glue) and a Banshee passed him all in front of the grandstands, the next lap Randall passed him back in front of the stands and proceeded to put 20 bike lengths on him in one lap! Which happened to be his quickest lap of the night (27.10 seconds) and low et for the event. After that a few people came over to our pit and said "yall got that bom-ba-deer runnin right!"
I was wondering if anyone knows a gear calculator web site, we had no radar gun and was trying to figure out our top speed at the top of the straightaway. Gearing was 17/40, tires 18in, and 9500-10000rpm entering the corner.
