Default Carb comparison

Ok, I think I've finally given up on being able to afford the turbo. Therefore I'm looking at upgrading the carb. How does the MrHP 46v compare with the TM48? Any thoughts on the most bang for your buck without reaching the $4k region?

I have been on a dyno with a TM45 and a HV46. You can lay the lines over each other up to the very top. On very top the HV46 made just a touch over 1hp more. I'm sure the TM48 would out perform the HV46. Plus the Tm can be switched to alky and back in about 10mins. Opening up the intake is a big must also.
