I dont wanna sound like a jerk or anything but I put my Ds on ebay and it was in new condition with only about 20 hrs on it with all Elka suspension and Tbr arms , nerfs , Durablue yada, yada .... and I couldnt even get someone to bid 4500 for it. I didnt think 5 grand was all that bad for a bike with about 10 or 11 grand in it. Oh well . Good luck , whoever it is for.

ATV lessons everyone will learn:

1. ATVs and other machines are a bad investment. They depreciate quickly.

2. Stock machines sell for more, and sell easier than modified ones.

3. Selling a modified machine is a bad idea, all of your mods will likely make it sell for less than stock.

4. restoring the machine to stock, then selling off the modified parts will likely yield much, much more money - however this takes actual WORK so you have to be willing to do that.

I remember that DS on ebay, so that was yours. Did you ever sell the DS or are you back to riding it?

I was reading through this auction and he states he has run a 5.663 in 330 ft. and 9.055 in the 1/8th mile @ 86mph. Looking at his list of mods do you guys think thats possible. HPR guys are running 4.1 to 4.3's. Is he telling me that he is only a second or so slower than an 800 on alcohol and nitrous? Im guessing that he was on asphalt maybe but I still find it hard to believe. I would like to see his time slips. Im with Bassetboy it sounds steep and smells fishy. Buyer Beware!

While I can't justify that his times are true, I do know that a whole second is alot of time when talking drag racing. 5.6 sec compared to 4.1 sec is an eternity in drag racing times and alot of HP difference.

As Scott has stated there is a big difference in a 5.6 time verses a 4.1 time in 300'. The bike running the 5.6 time is getting half tracked & thats huge in 300'.
