I guess I never thought of it that way. I was just curious I wasnt trying to put down the guy, but it didnt make sense that a bike that has less than half horsepower would only be a second slower. It just sounded like false advertising.

i would love to have a quad like that, with the mods listed. Especially for the price listed. I noticed a little hickey on one of the rear fenders(left?) that looks like its from rolling it over. Thats my only turnoff.
And i agree quads arent a very good investent, the do depreciate fast, and especially if they were rode hard and not taken care of.

4. restoring the machine to stock, then selling off the modified parts will likely yield much, much more money - however this takes actual WORK so you have to be willing to do that.

Couldn't agree more. I may be looking to sell one of my twins in the next few months but, I'll probably have to pull the engine and put a stock engine in it and sell the quad with a stock engine and then sell the 760 by itself. Pulling an engine isn't that big of a deal but, pulling off the dual carbs, pipe, etc., etc. and selling it all separate from the bike is a lot more difficult than just selling the quad ready to ride but, generally finding a buyer for an already built up bike isn't often that easy. . . even when you consider the price you are selling it for vs. what they would have to pay to get their bike to that level. . . Like Bad said. . . if you can get that buyer willing to spend $6k to $8k for a built bike they will have a bike that if they were to build would cost about double that.

Yeah that was mine. I have since been riding it but I did wreck a couple of weeks back @ mud creek in Jacksonville Tx and ruptured 2 discs in my back. I guess the gods just arent smiling on me when it comes to this bike. Im not sure if im gonna hold on to it or sell it. I guess i will have to make a decision in the near future though.
