Tried my buddy's 250R UNI filter on my DS. Doesn't fit. Did you use a piece of large OD PVC pipe to adapt the K&N? JP

 

I just picked up my DS650 but due to a broken left foot I am unable to enjoy it much yet. While I am waiting for my foot to heal is a good time to do good things for the DS650, so what are the best things I can modify or improve on from stock? Can you suggest the best websites for learning about improving the machine?

Are there any evaluations on the heated grips for ATVs out there?

I KNOW THE ONLY MODIFICATION I WOULD DO TO A DS650. TAKE IT TO MY HONDA DEALER AND TRADE IT FOR THE ONLY GOOD SPORT BIKE MADE TODAY. A YEAR 2000 MODEL 400EX! BECAUSE ITS THE BEST DAMN HONDA MODEL EVER MADE. SO I THINK YOU WOULD AGREE WITH ME AND SAY COME ON HONDA I WANT A SREET LEGAL SPORT MACHINE. IF THEY WERE LEGAL HERE I WOULD BUY A DS650 RIGHT NOW! WOULDN'T THAT BE FUN!

Beast450, get a clue, if you want to talk trash go to a honda forum, I also want to let you know that I sold my 99'400ex and got a new bomb and I never want to go back. I am a BIG Honda fan but I don't trash other brands. ATV'S DON'T BELONG ON ROADS!

I'm sorry if I offended you big daddy. I was just trying to get some attention to what I had to say. I personally think it would be cool for the manufacturers to come out with a street model atv. I don't see why it's not possible. Someone must have made the first legal motorcycle for the road and right now what would be better to make street legal than the ds650. I wasn't trashing it,I was trying to get your opinions. The ds650 is a little big for my neck of the woods. But like I said before if it were legal for the road I would have one now! Oh and by the way I love Hondas but I was being sarcastic I think Honda needs to listen to it's customers and come out with something like the ds650. I have been waiting for a long time for a sport 4x4, doesn't look like this will happen any time soon either. I think Bombardier may have all my business soon because I think there will be a lot more great machines from them that will turn the heads of the competition. I sure hope so.

Honda should make a sport quad with the XR650 engine. I would like 4x4 but it would have to be one of the sportiest of 4x4 out there

 

Actually, we tend to spend a lot of our riding time on asphault. Wheelies are much sweeter with full traction. (although the stock tires are about half tread already.)
