need to replace the chain on the busa, currently i am running a 2 stock 530 bomb chains (so far so good) but i don't want to risk it anylonger. i called sidewinder (i like those guys) and they have 3 levels of chain, stock replacement then an upgraded chain and then there killer tye chain (strongest they carry). who else sells a strong as nails 530 o-ring chain that can handle 180-200hp?


p.s. gary at performance machine cut me a steel sprocket that will live 100 times longer than my alum ones i eat each trip. thanks gary[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

I'm running 2 gixxer 1000, 530- o-ring chains , I figure if they are good enough for the street they'll hold up. I've seen the busa chains on e-bay too.

 

how are you wearing out the aluminium ones so fast? I paid $100 for a custom 56 t rear and it had better last a good long time, my 43 T rear I used to run is still in great shape after years of good use, are you hitting them on rocks or what?

 

Jeffroe. I've had good luck with rk chains on all of my street bikes. Just make sure you press on a good master link and never use a clip master link...jmo

 

i have had 3 different alum sprockets and none have lasted longer than 3-4tanks of fuel. sand riding only but i am turning a 25" 13 paddle ripper tire. when i say they only last that long i mean there might be a couple teeth missing 1/2 there tips and some other rounded forward? well i guess buy the best tye chain and be done with it.

 

JEFF, when I wear out my aluminium 60 tooth, I will defiantley be wanting to replace it with a steel sprocket. Give me the info on your new sproket!
