Roll call for ds days!

Well fella's its almost here. I was just curious who's making the roady to ds days. Has anyone thought of a meet point for pics, pops or ripping? I need to know who has the biggest 4x4 so I can buy them some beer just in case I need my rig and 5ver towed out.lol............

I will be there. I decided to rent a Penske truck and drive up with 3 friends and 4 atv's. This way I don't have to worry about cleaning anything but my DS's We should be rolling in about midnight on thursday.

I'm planning on rolling in with the sand condo, maybe Blackhawk will be able to meet me here in Ridgecrest and then we could make the run on up there. I'm thinking late Thurs. night or early Friday Morning. I know I am not trying to get into a spot without planing it out. I hope we can stay a little farther off the sand this year cus' I don't know how the new anchor is going to do in the sand. I think I'll be bringing my 4 seater buggy it's older with a pinto motor but it should get me around, since I am DS less right now.

Just got a new Duramax and lifted it a couple inches for some bigger tires. Not the biggest but, it should be able to get most people out if the bigger trucks aren't available.
BYO Tow Strap. . . I don't have one yet.

I think Blackhawk and I are planning on heading to DS days some time on thursday.
Wingnut, don't stress the sand with the truck. There are plenty of us to lend you a hand. The key is to ask for help before you dig down to the core of the earth! I would rather give you a courtesy tow all the way in then try to yank 20,000lbs buried in a sand hole! Screw bring us beer, how about you give us bathroom rights!

That dually will probably float on the sand just fine.
The truck got some bigger tires and a lift kit when I got home. Actually looks like a truck now. . . my neighbor though I had a buddy over with a Dodge

bombdsbaja, what kind of anchor are you dragging out there that stresses your powerstroke 4x4? If the sand is anything like Pismo then the key is to air down all 4 and even the trailer tires too if its a heavy anchor. Airing down is a night and day difference, you got to do it before you get too stuck. Even with my small 4k pound max trailer it will get my duramax stuck in the soft stuff if my 33" tires are fully aired. If I air them down, I can drive anywhere I want like I am on pavement. I got this new heavy duty 12v air compressor I want to test out along with some quick air deflators. Sounds like it may be a good place to test them out.
Thanks for the offer too, may have take you up on that! Should be a good weekend, chris is probably making a jug of apple pie and I mise well to. One jug only lasted one night at dumont, so two jugs maybe need this trip!.
