hey, new member to this forum, but have been watching the bomb forum for about a year. anyway i have a 04 x with a stage 2 rwr kit with a full ct exhaust. plus a sidewinder 520 kit and fullerton comp cut sand skate 1. was wondering if having the axle gun drilled was worth any signifigant improvement along with getting the hubs shaved down.i know the earlier models had steel hubs so i could see why you would cut those. just not sure its worth it on alum hubs. i do not jump anymore and do 95% of riding in silver lakes dunes. thanks,,,

I can tell you that shaving the hubs and running the douglas .125 wheels will save you a lot more than you think. You can also go to the new aluminum sprocket star and it will save you a few. If your really serious about cutting weight it will cost some serious money if you go any further than I have already mentioned. Just a little help thats all.

I would like to have an aluminum sub frame done, but I will most likely be going with a chromoly.

The question is do you guys want a battery box connected to the sub frame?

would like to get the battery moved and take that bracket it is mounted to on the sub frame off--the battery all alone is pretty ugly setting out there all by its self any good ideas on that one

Canondales had the battery mounted up front behind the radiator.

thanks choose, i have the 125 rims now but will call mrhp today too see what turnaround is for hubs, not sure what sprocket star is though?

Its the device that the rear sprockets bolts onto.
