Glenn, Scott, Have you heard anything yet from you families?
The most incomprehensible thing about the world is that it is at all comprehensible. The devastation is so overwhelming. I want to reach out to help but I'm too far away. I'm sure if anyone need anything this group will step up to the plate and help in what ever way they can.
Sound off if you need anything.

Glen, Cell phones are completely useless hear in South Louisiana. Most land lines are overloaded and calls are even as far west as I am are not going through all the time. I work for the DOTD hear in Louisiana. Are district has sent as many volunteers as we can spare. The reports we are getting is that all routes into New Orleans and surrounding areas are useless except I-10. 10 is useless past New Orleans. Making travel impossible for any and all. The only way we are getting reports is through satellite phones and some phone calls every now and then.

I work for Skeeter boats and we have several dealers and close Skeeter family as well as my rep and good friend there. He is okay but living off a generator but not in the flooded area. He said its like a war zone where he is with people trying to leave but not really having any place to go. Gas is tough to get and its really hot. We are an hour from the state line here in Texas and all the hotels, motels and red cross locations are full. Can I say please pray for these people and give what you can. I spoke to a guy at the red cross and he said that most of the centers are good as far as material things go but that money is needed for medicine and prescriptions left or lost during this ordeal. I dont know how much more they can take and it makes me feel guilty for thinking I have it bad sometimes. God be with all that are there and the loved ones that are worried for them.
