I work for Cardinal Health and they had a special facility meeting today just to ask for volunteers to go to warehouses right around New Orleans. They're going to be running 24/7 shipping out medical supplies fast as they can get the trucks loaded. I voluntered but so did 20 other ppl and they are only asking for 5. It will be at least a month long operation because they said u had to understand u be down there at least a month working 6 days a week for 12hr shifts.

I just got off the phone with my Mom, apparently my Sister is going down with the American Red Cross. They'll train her in 24 hours. I might do the same. I can run my business anywhere - I feel like I have to do something. I'll know more when I talk to the Red Cross tomorrow.

I just wanted to let everybody know how much I appreciate your concern for my loved ones. Its in times like this that is kinda wakes you up to realize how small riding an atv is in the midst of things.

I also have some very good news to report that 1 uncle, 1 aunt & 1 cousin have been located and are safe. The uncle did have to save my cousin from the rising flood waters...but, all is well.

On the other hand, we are still awaiting news from a few more cousins.

Thanks again. Yall mean a lot to me. I hope to meet yall face to face one day out on the sand

Choose, glad that you heard from your family down there, I hope you hear from the rest of them soon.

The hospital I work for is rounding up a group of medical staff to send down there, a few of our Dr.s are already down there. I know I would not hesitate to go down there to help out.

I've work for the American Red Cross for several years and have been asked to deploy to Louisiana because of Hurricane Katrina.

My wife doesn't want me to go because of the danger of biological contamination. She says "remember what happened to so many volunteers that went to New York during 911?" allot came back with upper respiratory diseases.

My job has not decided whether they will compensate me during my time away from work and I can not afford to leave if they don't. I will let you know what they decide. I really would like to go.
