Power on a 400 Outlander Max
haha, seems you like them 650s. BUt anyways, the 400 should do anything you want it to do. You wont need a 800 to go down any rough trails. I have a buddy with the400 regular and it has good power for a 400. Even though the low end is pretty weak. IT will do fine.

Haha, i dont know where alwaysride gets weak low end, its still stronger then his 360, but i heard that brp is coming out with a 660/650 and they will for sure have a max version, you should wait to see if you like them. for two up, the 400 probably will seem a little week compared to your 650 though. hope this helps

had a max for a year now .done 7500miles on the road .two 3 hr hare and hound races 1.all day 120mile trial with 25 very steep sections with the wife on the back so a combined weight of 407lbs.most of that me. and the wife has just done a 8hr enduro and was the only female to finish so won the iron lady trophy.the bike we find has plenty of power off road to climb any thing and if only one rider it is very safe on very steep hills due to the increased length . so far only a new brake pipe and reg servicing.i think the 800 will be better on the open road because the 400 is screaming its **** off at 55mph.but i dont do 55 in the woods so the 400 is fine

Not gonna lie, the low end punch on a outy is not that great. The mid and top are unbeatable in the 400 class. so all im saying is the 360 has better low end punch thus the reason in a drag, the first 20 feet the 360 stays with an outy. Thats good for 40 ccs less.
