HMF Exhaust Springs - use the stockers!
#1
I almost forgot to post this....
Last June I went on my first big dune ride with the HMF exhaust. We put over 400 miles on our quads in 4 days at St. Anthony Sand Dunes, most of which was hauling serious ***** fast paced at high rpm the whole time as we carved in and out of the most awesome collection of huge bowls in North America.
So anyway, after a couple days of riding, Air notices that I am missing 2 springs that connect the HMF tailpipe to my stock header. I used the springs that came with the HMF, as alot of pipes come with replacements like that. But luckily I had my stockers with me in my spare parts box, so I put all 3 of them back on. The stockers are much stouter, they will not fall off under heavy and long duration vibes.
If you currently have the HMF springs on your pipe, I suggest changing them back to the stock ones, cause if you unknowingly ride with no springs your mounting brackets and headpipe gaskets and studs are next to go.
