Default Lectron spring

Im trying to find out if a guy could cut a few of the coils off of the slide spring on the 48hv. I have cleaned, routed, re-routed the cable. Carb is working great, nice and smooth. But the tension on on the throttle just sucks. Makes my thumb go numb fairly quickly. I dont want to go to a twist if I can avoid it. Works great for draging but its miserable for duning. Seems like removing a few coils would help alleviate the problem. any ideas?

Scatter, have you lubed the cable? It will make it hard to pull if its dirty.

Did it last night. Alot of crap came out of it. 222 said to use shrink tubing over the cable adjuster in the middle of the cable. I put some silicone where the cable connects to the carb like you showed me. Im going to take it out to Christmas valley on Sunday. Still seems pretty stiff. Might just have to start some weight training on my thumb The thing kinda spooks me somtimes, Ive had stick wide open, lucky I wasnt riding at the time.

Keith, something doesn't sound right. I suspect either the cable routing or a poorly lubricated cable. When I ran my 46hv, it was almost as light as stock. This stuck at WOT points even more at cable routing or a poorly lubricated cable. Think about it, if the tension you feel was caused by the spring, would the slide even remotely be stuck at WOT?
