I'm getting my DS650 next week and wondering if I can outrun a Banshee. I know it will not beat a 400cc deck out Banshee, but what a good match up. I'm not trying to start a flame. I just need to know my limits.
Thanks

Curious as to how much you had to give for the DS650. A dealer up here called Cycle City is gettin $7100+ tax.

The DS should be faster than most of the Banshee's out there. I have been amazed how many people have super fast Banshees but can't ride them. Having owned a few hot Banshees I know from experience that its tough to get them hooked up. So I'm not making fun of them. Watch out for Quadzilla's though. They put their power to the ground quite well. Keep your races relatively short and the amazing traction of the DS shall prevail!!!!

I am guessing from your username you own a GN also. I had an 86 and I miss it dearly. I'll buy me another one though, maybe after my DS is paid off!!!!

Hey badlt500r,
I'm glad you respond to my question. Looking forward to surprise some banshee in my area. I'll be the first to own the DS in my town and keeping in mind about what you said. Yes, I have a 87 GN that runs low ten. Not bad for a V6.
Thanks

TurboV6,
You are one smart humanoid! I once raced a GN with my ill-prepared 440 big-block years ago. I remember sitting on "the line, hwy 222" and hearing my opponents breathed on Turbo V6 spooling up on the line. Sounded so sweet! Needless to say, I smoke the tires off the line,(450 ft. pds of torque means nothing without traction) he took off and ran away from me. (I did make $6.00 gas money though, some people really wanted to see me get beat I guess, so they rounded up some cash..He was an Air Farce officer, I was a kid)
What is the point of that story? Traction is were its at.
If you cant hook, you cant book!
