Demon,
Naa, I'm not going to mention that. I'm actually enjoying posting without them being percieved as self serving. I am starting to think about mods for my EX for this summer. Im getting the 2.9 carbon fiber bottle for my Nitrous kit, a new vortex ignition with a custom nitrous curve, new Laker Custom silver plastic, and an Innovate Motorsports 02 sensor. The carbon fiber bottles really help keep the nitrous insulated so that extreme temperature changes will be less of a problem - Liquid nitrous vaporizes at 105 degrees - that makes it diffucult to tune. Those new 02 guages are very cool, once installed, you can find out right where your tuning actually is - better than an EGT.
As far as snowmobiles, I have to say that the Yamaha Apex is the cats meow, much like a BMW compared to a chevy - the price reflects that too. It is heavy, but the people that I talk to everyday say it feels about 80 lbs lighter than it is. There is even a new APEX seat that saves 14.5 lbs! And, when you pump that motor up to 250hp, it really cooks. I would LOVE to have Chuck make a custom quad drag frame for that 1000cc turbo charged motor. Nothing, NOTHING would touch it!
One thing about Idaho Falls, its cold here right now. I like the snow but holy smokes! The dune wagon is now the snow wagon full time. The cost of living is a lot less. I've got a great apartment, 3 bedroom and 2 bath with a garage (converted to a shop), AC, and six months old, $650 a month. Groceries are A LOT cheaper too About 25%-30% less than were I come from.
I cant hardly stand waiting for summer to hit the dunes here. Im already thinking about getting a travel trailer and parking it near the dunes to have a weekend hidaway. If not, I guess I'll force myself to make the 40 minute drive to Saint Anthony.
The job is awesome. The people here are good too. There is a lot of work, sometimes I have 3 or 4 people on hold on the phones at one time. My voice mail always has messages, and I work at least 10 hour days, sometimes more. The other employees say I need to be carefull not to burn out, but to be honest, I have a hard time leaving the phones. So I do usually work right through lunch, and thats my choice.
I really like having my office right next to the R&D shop. I actually got to wrench on the Apex two weeks ago, and help with the installation of the new side mount turbo. Im also working on the associated products. I've been given a lot of freedom here too. Much more than I anticipated this quickly in the job. The owner wants me to take some of the pressure off of him, so I get to do some of that, and make a few of the bigger decisions. Like I said its hard work, but I can vouch for the fact that every person here works hard, probably 3 times more productive than the average person alone.
The Sled may come next season. SKi Doo and Yamaha are at the top of my list. They are supposed to take me out for some snomobile lessons in the near future - I hope they arent too rough on me!

LMAO, There was some good SUBTLE hints in there! I dont blaime you tho, we all know the friggen BS this site pulls on people.
Yep wlecome to the cold country! Been snowing here all day NONSTOP. Going to need an Apex stage III Turbo with Boondockers nitrous just to get out of my garage. If it was Artic Cat I would be stuck in here till spring. Good thing I hunt so the freezers full. I will be anxiously waiting to hear your report on your first sledding lesson. If you know in advance, let me know, I might be able to get my FIL's sled and come up. Came thru your area over turkey weekend, PM your phone # so next time I can get ahold of ya.

Jed,
I talked to the powers here and I can use any of thier sleds anytime for a ride. So, I would like to know if you would be up for a training ride? I was thinking later, after we get some more snow up at St Anthony's dunes some weekend. I want to ease in this, and certainly dont want to go on some huge 100 mile ride over the peaks of mountains and such - I want to LIVE!
Anyways - let me know...
