Brent i am not sure if the PBI aluminum sprockets are made from the same material as a typical aluminum sprocket but mine is holding up very well.I did do some research and the 7075 T651 aluminum is very high quality.

That I can agree with, and mine is made of the same and still looking ok. I did it at DSDays, so it has about 30-40 or so hours already and looks good still, and it has been ran hard with my big butt on it. I would still rather have the ti-moly on the rear though, it will last for much longer.......

I'm also running the PBI rear aluminum and I see no noticeable signs of wear so far. What do the Sidewider Ti-Moly rear sprockets run and what sizes do they make?

I do not recall the cost of the sprocket allone, it has been awhile from my last contact. But my dad is running that whole set up, and the wear difference is night and day, and he has been running his much longer. I believe you have the option of a 42 and down....

I got a Sidewinder 520 ti-moly Sprocket set for x-mas....no chain though.
Anyone using a non-sidewider chain with the s/w sprockets and are their any issues?
Seems like Rocky Mtn. has some good ones for alot less.

You should be able to run any 520 chain without problem. The question you have to ask yourself is do I want a non O-ring or O-ring style.

I was thinking of getting one, there $150.00 for a sprocket Im going with a PBI Aluminum rear you can get a front counter 520 from any one selling BMW 650 sprocets there less than 20 bucks, also you cant beat Rocky Mnt on the cost of there DID chains Non O ring and that X ring one they are selling.

Does anyone make a standard 520 rear steel sprocket for the DS?

I ride too much in the mud to use aluminum.
