Default Yoshimura Exhaust

Anyone able to tell me if they are any good? Anyone running it? Any and all information would be helpful. I do most of my riding in Oregon and have the Db issues. Looking for an alternative to the LTE's price tag.

I like my yoshi. I would say it is very similar to the HMF except that it is stainless steel. As far as sound goes, there is a removable baffle called the TEC insert. It is supposed to be around 96db but I have never tested it out. I have swapped from spark arrestor to no spark arrestor and it is very easy with just 3 screws.

The only alternatives that I know of is the Spark Arrested tip, the CT Exhaust, and the HMF slip-on with Quiet Core. With the tip and CT exhaust you'd have to remove discs to get the DB down. For the HMF, you'd have to add the Quiet Core. Do the reverse to get more power. The CT is probably the best solution for max HP gain. There may be other alternatives, but I dont know any that come close to meeting the DB requirements for the DS for Oregon.

Sandaholic, did you get good gains off of it?

ODP, I am looking at those as well.... I want the best bang for my buck.

The yoshi and HMF should have similar gains in performance. Before the yoshi, I was running the graydon proline full exhaust which is identical to the CT exhaust. Over time the slip joints lost there seal and the finish deteriorated. I feel the ct is a better top end pipe, while the yoshi is a much better low to mid exhaust.

My graydon proline came ceramic coated. I highly doubt they coated SS as the pitted parts were rusting. Maybe CT and Graydon Proline only shared the same design but not the same materials?

Ive got a CT coming in. I'll take some pics of the whole pipe. I'll be interested to know what other differences there are.
