JMAC650,

Cool. Just be aware that if it ever sticks, thats probably the reason, and just stand up and take the weight off the seat in the short run. Actually, once it marks the seat pan, its a lot easier to figure out where to cut it.

Man I got to get mine tuned ....

I got er on and installed she runs OK just not all that if you know what I mean. I got the feeling I was missing some thing !
So I picked the Full Ron Woods pipe to let her breath !
I am saving up for some Dyno tune time on the bike with the new carb, intake porting and exhaust.
I really hope she wakes up when I get the Dyno tuning out of the way.....

Anyone know if the Alba in Poway Ca. knows there flat sides from a whole in the ground ?

As I'd hate to waste a few bills on a kid who has no experance tuning ?

I am headed out in two weeks !

Anybody ... hello ?

Thanks for the heads up on the seat pan. I will watch out for it.

JMAC650: how much tuning was involved with the mod?

Just ordered basicly the Ron Woods stage one kit (no air filter, already have it. No pipe. already running the
Big Gun race series). One question, will the stock throtle cable not work? I see that the kit comes with a new cable. Will the carb come set up?

another thing that can be done to avoid seat pan contact is a mod to the throttle wheel, the right side lever where the cable hooks to, well there is a chunk that it is not needed that can be cut off. picture of what to cut
the seat sags a little with weight on it, and the heavier you are the more likely you will have the drag.

clshort, i would cancel your order from ron woods and order it from on dunes..it comes already pre tuned ( some what) and the accel pump comes hooked up....if not just get with hightower, he sets up alot of these 45's....yes u will need a different throttle cable..

It usually consists of pre-jetting the carb to your specs - altitude, exhaust - etc.

I did cut off the part you were talking about Hightower. Saw it in your gallery.
