All I can say is I have been missing out on the mods I did running that stock carb. It pulls so much harder now. Full throttle in 1st or 2nd gear can't be done on my street without it going over. Wish I would have done it before DS Days. Would of made it up the hill much faster. Can't wait to get it out and make some runs with it.

Thanks to Hightower for the tuning tips. Fired right up and didn't miss a beat.

Dont forget to do the underseat pan mod if your seat comes off its mount.

some of they tm45's sit high enough as where if u sit close enough to the gas tank and u push the seat down far enough it will hang the carb up.....some guys put a thin board under the seat to brace it. i just grinded a little of the rubber off the seat where it rubbed ant a little off the top of the carb and i never had it hang up again...

If the seat slips off its mounts on either right and left sides, the seat collapses down on the throttle wheel. This can cause the throttle to stick if your seat mount slips. The quick fix is to stand up. The long term fix is to make a square hole in the underside of the seat pan with a box knife. About 2 inches long and about 3/4 of an inch wide where the throttle wheel comes in contact with the seat pan. Some people dont have a problem because the seat dosnt slip, others do. So, you can wait until it happens and then just stand up and do the mod, or do the mod before you have a problem.

if your a heavy enough guy , the the clip on the seat doesnt have to come off for t to partially hang up, i would make the cuts on the seat pan anyways, just in case.

I checked mine and there is about 1" of clearance from the wheel. Plus the carb is tucked under the baja tank so I don't think it can come in contact with the carb.
