Default Oxygenated fuel???

That fuel was made for these guys that constantly use the excuse about their motor is "ON GAS" Well I just got an old "GAS" motor and your running ALKY!! LOL. BTW Good old-fashion methonal is still better than these designer fuels being produced to sucker in the guys wanting that "EXTRA" edge. They will pay $10 a gallon, when Methonal is 1$ a gallon.

Bigger.

Also realize that when you move up to many race fuels, lead is in them. You can go up to 104 Octane in Sunoco race fuel before lead is added (they have a 100 octane). Some people care about the lead issue one way or the other. They have a 104 Octane called M02X which is specifically designed for atvs and dirtbikes. Lots of choices out there but all are way $$$.

It is petroleum based, but does have some alky in it - This is second hand info I got from my fuel distributor. It could be wrong.

No jetting changes required if you are already running 110 - Again, you run it just like 110 (even though its not). Its wierd fuel for sure - you get some on your skin and you wonder whats going to happen! LOL

I think Bigger hit the nail on Head! Kyle you always were a ray of knowledge burning throught the muck of BS. LOL! Methanol "Alky" as some would call it. I think is a better fuel, an ALOT cheaper! Also Ten bucks a gallon is pretty pricey, I sense alil Price gouging goin on here.
Oxygenated we got 2 Hp and Alky is about 4 hp on the Dynameter.

I have run MR-8 vp for a while, no alky but has a strong smell and needs a little more jet. I noticed a hp increase when I got to the hill with my 2 and 4 stroke motors. I dont run it in the 800 right now because of being dynoed on normal fuel

methanol.....is there a special bland of methanol that is developed for use in engines, or is it the same stuff we use in the rig as say air line antifreeze or to melt ice off things? would be sweet if it were just the cheap old methanol we use everyday....

Default Oxygenated fuel???

I have no need for this sort of fuel. I don't remember where I read it, but I was reading about this oxy/race fuel and they were saying It's a lot cheaper to go to a small airport where you can buy the 110 airplane fuel and mix it with 93. Has anyone done this? I'm not thinking of it, but I am curious about it.

yeah - I mix 50% "av" gas from the local airport it's way cheaper than all that other stuff - and 110 octane - in a 4 stroke you need to mix 50-50 w/ pump gas because the av gas has no lubricants in it because they would freeze at high altitudes in a plane - and your piston needs the lubes - so mixing 1/2 110 and 1/2 96 you get about 103 octane for way cheaper -( you can use it w/ your mix in a 2 stroke w/ no pump gas 'cause all the oil you're mixing in)

I only run AV gas when I ride my DS at 15,000 feet elevation and keep it at a constant 3k rpms!
