aluminum heel gaurds
#11
I just got my money back from IMS for my Predator heel guard that did not fit. They have drop AC Racing and have a new supplier. I saw a prototype of the new guards and they are nice. The bad news is the first runs are for the 450 quads

i ordered mine from aerotech atv. thay are aluminum and are available for use with stock footpegs. only 100.00. i will have them powdercoated eventually. very sturdy and can handle all my weight on them without bending.

Ive got IMS on all 3 of my 650s. One is an 05 and two 01s. The guards come with spacers to use with stock pegs. You just drill a couple of holes in the pegs. Great heel guards and I got them at Motosport Outlet

How about this one;
My (4) long bolts that go through the pegs (to bolt on the heal guards) were two different lengths.
Not only that, but when a buddy came over to inspect how my assembly was going... he said, "oh, looks like they love to ship them with the same".... as he has a YFZ450 and his IMS heal guards came with 2 long and 2 shorter peg bolts.
WHY?? Can't the guy puttin' the bolts in the bag notice there's 2 different lengths? Or, is there a reason I've got two different lengths? ...seems odd that two of us had this issue with the same manufacturer on two diff quads.
Ideas?!
