The DS is a sweet machine.

2 weeks ago I was at a snowmobile show and of course one of the ski-doo dealers had a DS on display. I had the oppertunity to really look it over, even sit on it. I was very impressed. The ergos are laid out nicely and it doesn't seem as wide or heavy as people say they are. They seem to be very comfortable. I wish I had the chance to ride one. This was only the second DS I've ever seen. If there was a bombardier dealer near me and they weren't so expensive. I'd consider it as my next quad.

I just got my DS,a couple of weeks ago,and love it.I also have a 99 400ex,mint condition 86-250r.The DS is special in ruff long wide open spaces, but also does fine on trails. The ex is special on trails but does fine on wide open spaces.I did burn a chain roller,But they have put a better one with bearings in it,and o far,so good. But man the power.WHEWWWWWWWWWWW>>>>>>>>>>>. Just my two cents.

The DS is an impressive machine with reliability second to none. The price has come way down from m.s.r.p. it just takes some shopping. If you get the chance to take one for a ride I think you will fall in love with the massive torque and plush suspension.

Hey there is a dealer close to you. It is called Whitehall Turf and it is located near the Lehigh Valley Mall. The number is 610-432-0299. I believe that he still has one left, if not you can always go on cycle trader . com and look for one in PA.

Hey Bombban,
I looked into legalizing my DS for the Street here in Utah, ( it would be a riot to cruise on )I went to the safety and emissions inspector first, they told me what I'd need to add to comply, then I went to our local Police department to see what they had to add, they were cool and could not see a problem w/the idea as long as the Highway patrol signed off on it. Thats where the problem was they were total jerks, I explained that I had no intention of running the bike on the freeway ( you'd have to have a death wish here) but they quoted a list of ordinances that I'd have to get changed before a quad could be licensed for street use, so I dropped it. Let me know what you find out
good luck
