help with the rear shock

Default help with the rear shock

did anyone changed the flathead screw on the rear rezzie, mine is f'ed up and it looks like you can unscrew a bigger bolt around it. will i have to recharge the gas in my shock?

and does anyone know the part number?

That is your compression adjustment. If you only took it out of adjustment then you are OK, just set it somewhere in the middle and adjust from there. If you unscrewed the the assembly from the rezzie, you may be screwed. Check and see if you have any resistance in the shock. That will tell you if you still have a charge.

Do not remove the compression adjuster. If you remove it you will lose oil and ultimatelly have to have the shock rebuilt.

so you're telling me that if my shock is out of gas it absolutely needs to be rebuilt?

If you have lost nitrogen then yes you will need to service the shock. If the nitrogen leaked then where did it leak to?
