Default FOUND A BIG PROBLEM, WASN'T THE TURBOS FAULT

Well you all may know about my turbo woos or not. Anyway been having some trouble getting this thing to run right?!!? FRIED the crank on holloween due to an oiling problem nothing to do with the Turbo. But when we tore her down we found the Mag key way pin was sheered in HALF!! WIERD!!! Now ya know what that means don't ya!! If the Mag can move position on the crank it will change the TIMING. IT'S BEEN RUNNING TOO ADVANCED ALL THIS TIME!! AND EVEN MORE ADVANCED AT HIGH RPMs. THAT'S WAY BAD FOR TURBOS and that's where we were having trouble! HEY KELLY ,,, I HAVE SEEN THE LIGHT!! Can't wait to get her back together. all new motor and problems found and solved !!? X your fingers

Try using lapping compound on your crank and stater then clean it up with carb cleaner and torque to the rite specs this should cure your problem.use the rough grit then use fine grit lap it to a polished surface .
Hope this helps.

Be sure to use red loctite on crankshaft ,but not too much that it runs down on flywheel!

Did the flywheel slip off by hand? or was it still seated up on the crank?

Thanks all some good advice!! This bike is actually not my bike. I;m not working on my Turbo right now , other problems with that one to be worked out, I'm gettin ' there ,, The hard way!!! .I bought this bike from CRACKERJACK. I believe MAJORECHO did the last build. Bike ran real strong when I bought her.. My luck!!

222 The bolt seemed to be on tight? But it didn't pop right off ,, Had to use puller alot of the way to get her off. Some metal filings and shaft does have some scaring

alot of cranks and flywheels look that way even when the key isn't sheared. If it slipped much, it simply would have died and not started again. If it slipped a little, it would have retarded the ignition (the crank would have been trying to leave the flywheel behind). So, I would check other things to make sure you've found the problem.

Wouldn't a sudden stopping of the motor(crank) send the mag advanced as well?? I' m with ya !! got to still get the boost down so I can begin data logging and tuning. I;m really probably going to take it to kelly for the fine tune
