We ran 4.49, 4.49 and on the last pass I went for broke and raised the wheelie bar up about 1" to gain some traction but the bike carried the front tires to about the 200ft mark and was drifting so Randall had to shut it down. Hey Choose, if you come to ds days this year, and I havent got my machine lighter, you have to give me a head start, like half hill! It's like the ladies in golf, they get a handycap, i'm the lady in drag racing, lol!

Hey boat, flip that and make Robert go up to the 800cc, and a turbo or nitrous, and then its even again. Oh wait, that cant happen, the bottom end cant take it and the motor wasnt designed good enough to do that![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]

I would realy like to see a ds around 275 with a turbo and nos it would be a screamer but the fact is you guys need to step up and show us Thats all I want see I think it would be great to see a ds in the 3's because anything that fast is impressive Theres to many people riding your coat tails and claiming my ds this and my ds that Its the same with YFZ's mine can beat him or can beat that I know because I do have a real fast YFZ and I can smoke 99 % of the YFZ's on any sand I cant beat them all and I wont spend the money to do so But I still get these guys that watch me run and think they have a chance with just a pipe and line up SOME PEOPLE JUST DONT GET IT It takes cubic $ to go as fast as some of you guys And then you have bobby budget on his ds telling the world I can smoke all you fools I have HPR stickers on my bike We just need to weed out the clowns Im realy just tring to get your guys goat and see who has the real sh!t to race

Scooby, ya, I think it will be done. It's just anything above 3HP/CI is getting into the ugly range. 4HP/CI is very ugly. That will be like 1,600HP out of a small block.
It will take a ton of $$$$$$'s and the motor will be junk after a race or two. Lets just say, this quad won't do some trail riding after a drag race. It's going to have to be the best of the best. All systems will have to work together. Suspension, engine, tires, gearing and everything else will have to work together. Computers would be the best thing to get everything to work together. Multi-stage nitrous, timing and fuel systems. It's a BIG endeavor; doable, but a big endeavor. |

boat.......what you don't realize is that most yfz racers win because of their will to drop the clutch in 2nd(possibly even 3rd) gear....at max rpm........If you do this.......that light weight quad just screams.....but you are pretty hard on your quad too.
Doug's stretched drag pred(574cc)......weighs in at 245lbs....wet...... I hope he will be running this sucker next season.....I think it is pretty new....anyone seen it in action?? |
