Yes, Warn has a winch & a mounting plate. Do a search in this forum for "winch" and I posted the info in another thread couple of months ago.

Got mine from A and B Extreme in top area of forums. $300 delivered I think for both parts.

Seadog did you ever get any pictures of your winch and mount. My DS gets rode through riverbeds quite a bit and sometimes a winch would have been worth its weight in gold. I have not gotten my DS stuck too many times but when I have its bad. Mainly it would come in handy to pull out some of the 400ex and 400ltz that I ride with that have stock tires, they dont do very well when going through 2 ft of water then find a mud spot, and when I try to pull them out usually Im on a sand bar and cant get enough traction in the loose sand to pull them out. A winch would save alot of water logged boots and cold rides home.

W/ the way your DS is setup, I assume that you just ride the sand w/ it, hence your comment. Therefore, youe probably wouldn't need one unless you got stuck in mud or softbottom in the surf.

If your ride it in the rough & narly, there are times that one would be beneficial.

Depends on how/where you ride, as the DS can handle a wide range of territory/conditions.
