dbeck,
1. The forums seem back up to speed @ 11:20pm PST.
2. Firefox is awesome, especially for browsing the forums!
lilnotts,
What CD Buring Software are you using? I've used Firefox with both Nero and Roxio with no problems. I have Firefox installed on hundreds of PCs here in Los Angeles, no problems aside from the websites that use Active X instead of Java.

Sparky,
Active X is Microsoft's proprietary technology - and is one of the primary security holes in Internet Explorer. (Not the only security hole, but it certainly is the biggest!) Firefox does not support Active X; only Internet Explorer will. I STRONGLY suggest using Internet Explorer -ONLY- when you have to - like on a website that uses Active X and it is something you HAVE to do.
One of the greatest features of Firefox that some of you may discover are extensions and themes. Extensions are small 'add-ins' that you can install to change the way Firefox works. More or less anything you can think of someone has likely made an extension to do it. Click Tools > Extensions > Get More Extensions to see the list of hundreds of options, and the list is growing every day.
The extension I recommend to everyone is called "Tabbrowser Preferences" current version is 1.2.8.7. This extension gives you added control over tabbed browsing and really makes Firefox work well.
