I just purchased a NOS 15 Shot Nitrouse system off of e-bay But I have a few questions.
Can I run my Ron Woods CDI?
Can I run pump gas ?
My Bike is stock with a 44 MM Lectron a ron woods full exhaust and a ron woods CDI also lightened up the rotating mass with side winder set up and lighter hubs.
Also what would you guys recomend as far as paddle tire set up for drags and running the hills at the dunes was wanting to go with 22" haulers but don't know how many paddles to run with the nitrouse

 

Yes you can run your CDI. You can run pump gas but I dont recommend it. I recomend running a premium and 110 race gas 50/50 mix. The best way to do it is run the mix in your tank(maybe a gallon or so) till your out of NOS then top off your tank with premium or regular for the rest of your ride. For paddles I would run a 22" 7 or 8 paddle.

 

Just to be safe I would run 100-105 octane. Run the 22in paddles. Gearing will come down to your riding style. If you are spraying out of the hole then I would go to stock gearing 2nd gear launches. You can run a ron woods cdi no prob. If you have a wet system start out with the gas jet around 4 sizes bigger than the nos jet. Make sure the jets are new and have not been re-drilled. The bikes Ive jetted for nos usually like 3 points apart. Make sure your fuel pump is running when your going to spray, And purge the system with a dry run w/ nos bottle turned OFF , hit the button till it bogs and you know the fuel is ready. Once you know your getting fuel, Then crank that bottle open.

 

Thanks for the information I will do what you suggested. Anybody ever ride one with a 15 shot was just wandering what a difference it makes in seat of the pants ride and maybe bike lengths.

Big difference on 15. Huge on 25[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] I wouldnt take any chances run straight 110.

 

For those guys running on the edge, there is a new guage by Innovate Motorsports - It's an air/fuel sniffer guage that has a billet ring on the guage - I've seen them around and they say they work great.

A 15 shot will feel more like 25HP.
Nitrous builds torque super fast. Unlike a race motor which builds torque as the RPM band goes up. That is why most drag cars run several stages of N2O. That way they don't blow the tires off with a straight 500 shot.
Nitrous will put a big smile on your face!!! Have fun.

 

I would run 110 and wouldnt mess with pump gas. 15 shot is alright you will really like it when you start running a little more. If your running a hill i would run 22" 8 paddle extremes and 10 paddle extremes for flat runs. Your going to want to get a couple more bottles though. I only get 3-4 good passes on a 25 shot. Good luck and spray the hell out of it, It will like it...
