gig gun cdi problems?

Default gig gun cdi problems?

has any one had any problems with there cdi box mine acts as if the pilot jet is way rich. It runs just fine with the stock cdi box. does anybody have any suggestions?

The Big Gun has an aggressive curve.
If it does have more initial timing, the motor would be running lean.
Check your pilot screw for number of turns out from seating.
4 turns out is in the ballpark.

When I first put mine on it would sometimes kick back on start up. However when I switched from the stock carb to the TM45 the problem went away. I don't think it has anything to do with defective CDI's or any of the other crap people were talking about. I think it strictly has to do with the curve being different then stock and needing to jet, or adjust the AFR slightly different.
