Scoundrel,
If you need a good quality open style trailer take a look at the Big Tex brand, I paid $1333 for mine and you can see it is built a lot better than some of the other brands (Carson, for example.) I was on the Carson lot looking at trailers (this was in march or so of 2000) and the brand new trailers already had rust on them and lots & lots of spatter from bad welding. The worst problem about my Big Tex trailer is they applied one of the stickers 1/4" too low.
Don't go to Home Depot or lowes though, I saw they had similar sized traielrs to mine (6.5w x 12' long) for 1500, but they were Carson or Taiwanese quality.

I was thinking about going, is a 4 wheal drive required to get to wherever you all camp? Scoundral where is corona cali. Is it on the way to glamis from fresno or what? I talked to randal and he said they would be flying in on the 13. He said he is gonna try to get the rest of my motor in the mail by this friday so if i decide to go i will be able to bring both big bores. Is it all sand or is there hard dirt roads?

You wont need 4x4 at all, 2wd is fine at the washes. I have never camped off of Gecko Rd so I don't know if 4x4 helps or is needed there but I bet you can get by without it if you are a good driver. Most of the connection people camp at the washes, and I don't think you'll ever need 4x4 there.
