Default Trouble starting

Lately, I'm having trouble stating my 2000 Bomb. I can pull/push start (pop the clutch) and it will start fine the rest of the day. However, it won't start first thing in the morning. I checke the plugs, seem fine and it seems to have plenty of spark. Any ideas?

The bowls in the carb might be overflowing as well and causing a little gas to drip on top of the piston and cause too rich of a condition. I have had the same thing happen whenever my bike sits up for some time. JMO.

Don't forget to check valve clearance. Tight valves are a common cause of hard starting.

Before you get into all of that, I'll give odds it's something much more simple.

2 to 1 says it's just a weak battery. It just doesn't have the juice to fire the coils when cranking it up the first time of the day. You can test this by jump starting it the first time, I'll bet it starts.

I've seen this dozens of times, I'm 90% sure it's the battery.

How long did you have it sit on the charger for?
