Default Suspension questions

I know very little about suspension, but have a question.
Would stiffer suspension make the DS wheelie easier?
If so how do you stiffen up the suspension?

Thanks,
Chuck

It is more the question of your swingarm angle. The more travel you set in the rear the easier it will wheelie.

So does that mean soften the suspension in back? If so how?

I wouldn't change your suspension for the purpose ofwheelying. If you soften it up too much, obviously you risk bottoming out. I would either increase power or shorten your swingarm.

Why not get a swingarm off an '05 DS. It is waaaay lighter and is an 1 1/4 shorter. My '05 wheelied much easier than my '00 did. When I pulled my stock '05 swingarm off to install the chromolly +4, the alloy stocker weighed almost exactly the same. The swingarm on my '00 was the same anvil used by Bugs Bunny on Yosemite Sam's head!

Maybe it wouldn't bolt up. Someone here ought to know.

Ron
