Default outlander 800 1 up versus 2 up

That's good information to know. So the extra wheelbase does get in the way at times.

I mostly go alone and when I do bring the wife, I go slow and if a hill is steep, someone is walking up the hill, etc. I understand that these are big machines and the carnage that they can do that's why I always take my time with someone on. Some of my friend don't and that's why I haven't been riding with them since I sold my Rincon. I just don't feel safe on the back of a bike unless they drive like I do with a passenger...which they don't .

Thanks

Denis

another thing to think about

i dont know your age but i am over 30 and 2 seater's have not been around for that long and all my friends and family all got by riding double on real atc's and atv's..i think the 2 seater thing is a silly thing unless you are riding double all the time for business or something like that..i fit my wife on my outy 800 with no problem and we have a great time...

when we were kids my dad and myself use to go riding and picnic on our suzukilt 125 for years and it was fine...dont get caught up in the marketing/need for another seat..

I've been an avid ATVer since 1983 and have owned every major brand ATV on the market except Cannondale. At the ripe age of 48,I decided about 3-4 yrs ago that I might want to look at the 2 seater ATVs on the market. I did'nt find even one 2-seater that even remotely caught my eye. Than comes along the new BRP 800 Max. I took it for a test ride and the rest is history. I now have 400 miles on it and my wife and I love it. Its like riding on a Lazy Boy on the trails for both the passenger and the operator. And the nice thing is that when you are riding only yourself, you can install the replacement cargo box that fits in place of the passengers seat and you dont even know your on a 2-seater with this set-up.

Im completely happy with mine.

Have you done any technical riding with it? I.E. Steep hills, off-camber, deep mub, over obstacles. If so could comment on the handling characteristics?

THanks.

as i said earlier it really is not any different in everyday things...it will be different in some instances..

climbing in and out of mud holes and up and over steep lips and bumps..these are the complaints of my friend, he would get hung up on the bottom were i would just go with no problem..winched out and kept moving..happened about 4 times last time we road but we were in and out of alot of muddy areas cause of rain and snow

I belong to a ATV club here in Michigan and alls I'll say is that so far, they dont go anywhere with their ATVs that I have'nt been able to follow them with on my 2-seater. Now on a very serious sharp turn, you need to re-evaluate the turn as opposed to doing the turn with a single seater ATV,however, after a little seat time, even this becomes second nature.
