Default New to forums and just bought a 02 baja

Just wanted to introduce myself as I am new to the forums and just picked up my first ds650 saturday after wanting one for about 2 years. I have heard really 90% good feedback from ds owners and being just over 6 foot and just over 300lbs it seems that it will be the perfect quad for this 35 year old. My quad is 100% stock but have a prm desert grab bar and ac swingarm skid plate on order along with some a-arm guards. I look forward to talking to you guys about the pros and cons of the ds. I really wont get alot of riding in untill the spring but cant wait. Thanks

Welcome to the board!
I have the same DS. Do a few mods and you will really be impressed with what she can do.
As Chris said, read, do searches and ask questions. I thought I was somewhat mechanical, unitl I met these guys. Allot of good people with good advice!

Welcome aboard.
You will enjoy your new ride. Make sure you study the threads on OldManRacing's stock carb mods. It will really bring the beast to life, all for the cost of a jet kit. May want to look into and end cap or AM exhaust. Other than that, sit back and enjoy.

Good luck with that skid plate. I personally don't have one, but you may want to ask around and see if it's even worth it to try and put that on. I believe there is only one brand of skid plate that actually goes on easily, but I can't remember which one it is. Do some searches, and good luck.
