2Big's DS picked up about 4mph on the hill with the NOS on. You could tell it was there, but it wasn't that "wow- I've got 25hp" feeling. Both of his motors were running real close without the bottle. Then we bolted the Drag Pipe on the bike without NOS and picked up 5mph.
The bottle may have been low, temps, pressure...etc....but Sandbombers bike picked up 4-5mph with only a 8hp shot?

like i said im not a mechanic but at pismo with the drag pipe on the new one and the nitrous on the old one with small equal riders. the nitrous 730 blew the drag pipe 730 out of the water even with the 25 on. maybe i need to put the 25 on the nitrous bike and then see what it does. maybe the bottle was low i dont know all i can say is 12 oz bottle does not last long. 222 is there an upgraded cam [hpr5] that will make my bike run faster. and if so is there a trade up policy or something?

Here is some interesting data regarding the various bottle sizes at 25hp ... Of course with Boon, these are 7 second shots each.
9oz - 2.5" X 9" - 36 seconds - 5 shots
12oz - 2.5" X 11" - 48 Seconds - 6.86 shots
16oz - 3.25" X 9" - 64 Seconds - 9.14 Shots
20oz - 3.25" X 10" - 80 Seconds - 11.43 shots
3lb (48oz) - 4.5" X 13" 192 Seconds - 27.43 shots
My experience is that these smaller bottle sizes (smaller than 2.5lb) are silly with the boony's systems. Bottle pressure when the button is on will vary so much that you'll want to keep to that boony's 7 second rule. Consistant hits in HP numbers will be difficult with that system, especially with a tiny 12 oz bottle. You wont get any scientific numbers out of that if you try.

you know i am buddy but for reals if the nitrous is gravity fed and it all works off pressure also why couldn't i put a prussure guage on the bottle and an air spicket on there also so after every pass i could fill the nitrous bottle back up with air to force the remaning nitrous down out of the bottle, this way you can maintain the same amount of pressure pass after pass im being serious now.

You could do all that to fix some of those pressure related problems - or simply upgrade to a system thats regulated - Then your nitrous filled bottle will always be the same consistant pressure to the nozzle, and therefore your horsepower hit will be constant.
Boondocker is a nice kit to play with. But if you want the safety of boondocker, with the consistant, reliable hit for racing, the other system is the way to go. I have the BD on my 460EX. And for playing around it can be fun. But you and I know the serious guys that race dont want to be scratching thier head trying to figure out why they lost the race, or what environmental conditions caused them to have less power and loose the race on the last run.
Further, if you have to start reading outside tempuratures, pressure guages, bottle temps, the BD system really cant be that automatic afterall now can it? Maybe thats why they limit users to a 7 second burst. Look, nitrous is a tricky gas, Liquid nitrous is the most consistant. Even then, its not that consistant.

i scratch my head wondering if this time is gonna be the one or not. every time i think there might be a chance i push that button i will hook the mamometer up first. it seems like mine fluctuates alot from ride to ride. i need an electronic kit that you push the button and it tells you where you are at.
