Boon Docker ???

What size of Shot is everyone using. They recomended we start with a 10 shot on my Twin Peaks 800 BB, That did not make much difference. I gained about 10 HP on the dyno. We ordered a 20 shot to try in it. Does any one know if that woud be to much for an 800 bb V-twin. Or should I go bigger????

I run a twenty five. That twin could handle alot more than that, but if your not familiar, just run the lesser shots until you are, than start trying the bigger shots. If you push your float bowl dry, you are more than likely too rich.

All the Boondocker kits come with 15 and 20 hp nozzles. Most quads can take a minumum of 15 hp. The DS can take about 25 on the stock piston. 30 is pushing it unless you have an upgraded piston for the DS.

Well it breaths through one air breather, so it has only one nozzel fogging into it now. To seperate the two carbs would require some major custom work on the intake setup. Unless you were thinking just plugging two nozzles into the top of the breather. That might work.

My HPR 730 takes a 25 shot without worry. On the dyno that Boondocker 5-hole equates to about 21ponies at the rear wheel. I'm probably going to a 6-hole (30 shot). I'm running 110 leaded race fuel, and a 13:1 super featherweight piston. I also run a RWR CDI.

CC, we need a touch more info....
Is the 11:1 piston a forged piston? If it is, you can way shoot a 20 shot. BD recommends a 10 for initial purposes so that you get the bugs worked out, and you get past the learning curve. I would suggest the same, but after you are up to snuff, a 20 wouldn't be a problem with that CR. JUST MAKE SURE THE PISTON IS FORGED!
