a properly built aluminum rotor will work until it gets too hot. Once it gets past its "limit" it will stop doing its job and can seriously hurt you. Sacrifice the lb for a safe rotor. it is the ONLY thing that will save your ***. Most hill shooters dont have the luxury of front brakes.

mario, any time you drop weight off the drive train it makes it easier on all of your parts; internally and externally. Good job on the diet!

that ratio is whacked if you shed 50 pounds of turning mass then your quad wouldn't way anthing at all???

4 guage, wow. Probobly should stick with that, but it sure seems like overkill. I will have to take a close look at mine, but I would think you could thin it down a bit. Can't imagin it would make much difference.....

My Friend has Ceramic Coated Titanium rotors on a drag car. If you want light that's is what you get. SH don't tell the yami boy's LOL I would not waste my time dickn' wit aluminum. If you got the green Ti is where it's at.

Now thats a very good report on rotating mass in general. I suspect the DS guys will be back in the hunt now since so many are offering these lightweight parts for our bikes that the competition have been running for years. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
