On a stock machine, I would think the rev limiter will keep you from tearing too much up....now that is to say if you have a rev limiter on the particular CDI box that your running. If not, then I would say somewhere around the 9k mark you are approaching some very dangerous ground...but thats just me. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Excellent thread ... Boat says he's not young, so now he has no excuses.

Back to the subject, as already mentioned the stock valves begin to float at 8500 rpm. You can build the motor to rev up to 10K, but theres not a lot of reasons to go there.

Now that there was some funny shizat. Thanks for the link. Haven't had a laugh like that all week. Good reading, but them Yammi guys seem to be bagging Bomb pretty heavy. Race us with a bicycle!?! I'll stay over here in the adult section.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

Took mine waaaaaaaayy past 10,000 once [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img] It held[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] Found out I needed new shift forks that way. I do have good stuff in my head, well the one on my bike anyways. LOL
