I am not sure if this is worn that bad but I noticed that if you grab a front tire and rock the top in and out and put your hand at where it attaches at the frame, it feels sloppy. Is there a better bushing? Or maybe bearings? This could be some of the odd 70mph scary feeling.

There should not be that much play in the a arm. New bushings seem like they would be in order if you are going to keep the stock arms. Your other option is to look at the ASR upper a-arms. They come with new heim joints all around. This would not only take care of the wobble you talked about but they are also adjustable for camber and caster which is why you feel that high speed jitter. I got mine on Ebay for about $150. It might be worth looking into.
