A buddy and I were scouting out a ride for the group and got turned around, went in a big circle, almost out of gas, snow, ice and wind, no overnight protection, getting very dark, I wasn't worried, but was 'incredibly alert'. When we got back to the trucks, the speedo read 61 miles on slick trails and in the mountains, gas warning light had been on about 40 minutes (1.6 gallons when light comes on).

Anybody have any idea of max range on the Outy 800?

Also, my buddy said if an efi fed engine runs out of gas, it's not good for it. Is that true?
