i talked to our rep today and he says they wont tell him anything for sure but he said with how long its been since they started working on it it should come out within a year or so and another interesting thing was that about 3 months after the origional yfz and 450r came out was the date bomb was planning on releasing a ds400 then decided not to after the 450 market came about but as of new models he couldnt tell me anything for sure but he said he thinks they will have more outlander based models in the future and he thinks that they might develop a sport 800 off the outlander chassis ... im just hoping they come out with a 800 side by side and waiting on the 450 so i can start mx racing in the future

Yea, $1500 is a lot to spend on EFI, if we get some competition goin out there we can see some price reductions, hes got a monopoly now so he can charge w/e he wants, i bet if he made it more reasonable he would have a TON of sales, id love to get it but $1500 is a lot of parts worth, hell its 1/3 of a whole new quad !
If there is talk of others selling the EFI i will wait, i want it for the summer tho, so i'll wait another month and decide

I have a KMS EFI Turbo kit and live near the shop.
I can tell you that KMS is not a large shop and he is NOT making a killing off his EFI or Turbo kits. In fact, he had to down size his shop to stay open.
I have spoken with the owner, Kelly, often. He has been working with EFI and turbo systems for many years doing R & D. He is constantly improving his products. He has to handmake a lot of his kits. He actually made the EFI controller and wrote the programming. He only uses quality products in his systems and will not use less quality to keep prices down. He will NEVER make enough money on his systems to pay back all the time he has spent on R & D.
His markup is reasonable to keep open for business and make a living. His customer service is the best I have ever seen.
I doubt anyone will be able to offer an EFI with the same quality for less money.
The EFI turbo system works great in the dunes, at sea level, or in the Flagstaff cinders, 6800 feet. I get 72 HP & 57 ftpds of torque on 5 lbs of boost running AvGas. All with bolt on parts! I can always put the bike back to stock congifuration if needed too.
The money spent was well worth it, as I get better performance at a cheaper price then having to do all the motor mods to reach the same HP & torque figures I get now.
