6-8 weeks for a big valve head?

I also think its a little long. But I guess it just all depends on how backed-up the shop is. I know a person who can build a whole motor in 6-8 weeks....from top to bottom....

Most of the time those guys have about 10-15 other motors they are working on. Having a line of work keeps the price down and keeps the machinist expertise well exersized. 6-8 weeks is ok, 4 weeks would have been more normal - again, just depends on how much is in the shop.
