6-8 weeks for a big valve head?

sounds a little long to me...

I also think its a little long. But I guess it just all depends on how backed-up the shop is. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img] I know a person who can build a whole motor in 6-8 weeks....from top to bottom....[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

last time i talked to jeff he said 1-2 weeks on a head.

Most of the time those guys have about 10-15 other motors they are working on. Having a line of work keeps the price down and keeps the machinist expertise well exersized. 6-8 weeks is ok, 4 weeks would have been more normal - again, just depends on how much is in the shop.

Is the 40/34 valves the biggest out there for a race head? Are they available in titanium or only stainless steel?
